The Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) in Polished Silver, model GA05551-US, ships with one Nest Temperature Sensor (2nd gen) in the box. The thermostat measures 98 mm in diameter and 29 mm deep and weighs 161.8 g, with a 2.7 inch (68 mm) circular liquid crystal display running at 600 x 600 pixels. A Soli sensor drives Motion Sense, alongside temperature, humidity and ambient light sensors. It connects over Wi-Fi 802.11n on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, is Matter certified, and is controlled through the Google Home app or another Matter enabled app or voice assistant. Power comes from the HVAC system wiring with a built-in rechargeable lithium battery, drawing less than 1 kWh per month. It works with most 24 V systems including gas, electric, oil, forced air, heat pump and radiant, and controls heating stages W1, W2 and W3, cooling stages Y1 and Y2, heat pump with auxiliary and emergency heat, fan, humidifier, dehumidifier and ventilation. Patented Power Sharing means a C wire is not required in most homes. The bundle is made with at least 48% recycled materials, the battery contains 100% recycled cobalt, and the packaging uses 100% plastic-free materials. ENERGY STAR certified, with a 2 year standard retail warranty. Ships factory sealed from Toronto, Canada.
