This is post-grading protection, and it is the only product in this group that assumes your card is already in a slab. The slab protects the card, and the bumper protects the slab, which is what gets scratched every time a graded card is stacked, shipped or slid across a table.

  • Shipping a slab: a bumper takes the corner and edge impact that would otherwise mark the case in transit.
  • Stacking and storing slabs: slabs scratch each other when stored face to face, and a bumper keeps the surfaces apart.
  • Shelf display: a coloured frame around a slab on a stand, without adding a second case.
  • Colour-coding a graded collection: five colours means you can sort by set, by grade or by player at a glance.
  • If your card is not graded: use a penny sleeve plus a toploader, or a 35PT ONE-TOUCH, both in this collection.

Does this fit a standard PSA slab?

It is made and sold as a PSA slab protector. For reference, PSA publishes the outer dimensions of its standard holder, used for standard size cards up to 40 points, as 3.16 by 5.32 by 0.27 inches.

Will it fit a BGS, CGC or SGC slab?

LockBoxTCG names only PSA and does not publish a fit for other grading companies. Those graders use differently sized cases, so treat this as PSA only.

Can I put a raw, ungraded card in this?

No. This goes around an existing graded slab. For a raw card, use a penny sleeve with a toploader, or a 35PT ONE-TOUCH magnetic holder.

What colours are available?

Black, blue, red, purple and green. You select one colour per order, so this is not a multi-colour pack.

Do I still need this if my card is already slabbed?

The slab protects the card, but the slab itself scratches and scuffs with handling. A bumper is for people who move, ship or stack slabs and want the case to stay clean.
