December 15, 2025 – In a major development for the collectibles hobby, Collectors (parent company of PSA) has announced a definitive agreement to acquire Beckett, one of the most historic and respected names in card grading and collectibles media.
Key Details of the Acquisition
- Beckett will remain an independent brand within the Collectors portfolio.
- It will continue its own operations, customer experience, grading standards, marketplace, magazines, and price guides.
- No changes to pricing or order processing at PSA or Beckett.
- Collectors aims to enhance Beckett's offerings while preserving collector choice.
“I am pleased to share that the iconic Beckett is joining the Collectors family and will continue to operate as its own independent brand within our portfolio,” said Nat Turner, CEO of Collectors. “The first card I ever submitted for grading was to Beckett, and I consider Collectors custodians of this important icon in the hobby.”
“Beckett is in good hands with the Collectors team, who are first and foremost hobbyists and fans,” said Kevin Isaacson, CEO of Collēctīvus.
What This Means for Collectors
This acquisition consolidates major players under Collectors (which already owns PSA, SGC, and PCGS), but emphasizes maintaining distinct brands for different collector preferences. Beckett's legacy in price guides and sub-grading continues uninterrupted.
