Pokémon TCG Paldean Fates Set Guide: Shiny Cards, Mew ex and Prices

Pokémon TCG: Paldean Fates is a special expansion released on January 26, 2024. Its card list runs to 245, every card numbered over 091. It marks the return of Shiny Pokémon to the game, more than 130 of them, inspired by Hidden Fates and Shining Fates. Paldean Fates isn't sold in single booster packs, so every pack comes inside a product. The top card is Mew ex 232/091, a Special Illustration Rare by USGMEN, 8 316 kr. The 154 secrets

The official card list numbers the secrets in six blocks. Shiny Rares run 092 to 211 and Shiny Ultra Rares 212 to 223. Illustration Rares are 224 to 226 and Ultra Rares 227 to 231. Special Illustration Rares run 232 to 239, and the Hyper Rares close the list at 240 to 245. Three main-set cards are Shiny Tera Pokémon ex: Charizard ex, Forretress ex and Espathra ex.

Five Shiny Ultra Rares have no main-set card in this set: Alakazam ex 215, Mew ex 216, Glimmora ex 218, Pidgeot ex 221 and Wigglytuff ex 222. Great Tusk ex 053, Iron Treads ex 066 and Charizard ex 054 have no Shiny Ultra Rare.

Several names repeat, so the number is what tells cards apart. Paldean Tauros appears at 111, 120 and 172, and Paldean Student at 085, 086, 230 and 231. Professor's Research appears twice in the main set, once for Professor Sada and once for Professor Turo. Mew ex appears at 216 and at 232.

Mew ex 232/091 is 8 316 kr. Charizard ex 234/091 is 2 538 kr, Gardevoir ex 233/091 1 599 kr and the Shiny Ultra Rare Mew ex 216/091 314 kr.

Standard legality follows the regulation mark printed on each card, whatever set it came from. Cards with the G mark left the Standard format on March 26, 2026 on Pokémon TCG Live and on April 10, 2026 at in-person events. Expanded still covers the Black & White Series onward.
