On September 16, 2026, The Pokémon Company runs the first worldwide simultaneous release in the TCG's 30-year history: Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration. All-foil packs, a guaranteed Pikachu in every one, a 30-card reprint subset, a brand-new rarity, and no loose boosters: packs exist only inside the 18 announced products. The chase cards

Futuristic Rare is a brand-new rarity debuting here, illustrated by Japanese artist YOSHIROTTEN; new-rarity debuts historically draw outsized grading and early-singles volume. The Classic Collection (30 special-foil reprints, not tournament legal) follows the 2021 Celebrations formula that became one of the most-graded card groups of its era. And the Pikachu subset guarantee means singles demand concentrates on the most-followed illustrators; completing all 30 from packs takes about 120 packs by coupon-collector math.
What makes this set different
- Every pack is all-foil: 6 foil cards per pack (5 cards + 1 foil Basic Energy), with one subset Pikachu guaranteed.
- No loose boosters: packs are obtainable only through the 18 products, released in 5 waves from September 16 to December 4.
- A Generation I skew: roughly 55% of product-featured Pokémon are 1996 originals (Pikachu, Mewtwo, Mew, the legendary birds, Eevee, Ditto, Lapras), balanced by the Eeveelutions, the most consistent demand driver in modern sealed and singles data.
- Hidden details: the Day & Night Mini Tins carry Unown border art spelling "ANNIVERSARY" across all ten tins; the Ultra-Premium Collections mirror the day/night split with paired Pikachu ex promos.

At MSRP, the Booster Bundle prices packs at $4.49, the ETB at $5.55 (before accessories), the Binder Collection at $6.40, and the Ultra-Premium Collections at $6.00 including the Classic Collection pack and both promos. The Battle Decks contain no packs; their value is the all-foil 60-card list plus the Victini/Zeraora promos, a configuration TPC has not sold at this price point before.

Secondary-market and third-party retail listings are already trading far above MSRP: GameStop lists the anniversary ETB at $170 versus $49.99 MSRP (+240%) and anniversary Ultra-Premium product at roughly 4x list, with 50% payment required at preorder. The data from comparable releases (Celebrations 2021, 151) shows repeated retail restocks through the holiday quarter at MSRP, with sustained scarcity concentrated in premium SKUs: Ultra-Premium Collections and Pokémon Center exclusives. 30th Celebration sits between the Mega Evolution era's fifth expansion, Pitch Black (July 17, 2026), and the next main set, Mega Evolution: Delta Reign (November 6, 2026), the English release of Japan's Storm Emeralda headlined by Mega Rayquaza ex.
