Pokémon TCG Prismatic Evolutions: All 180 Cards, Umbreon ex & Products

Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—Prismatic Evolutions released January 17, 2025 with 180 cards: 131 main set plus 49 secret rares. It has no booster box — as a special set its large-format product is the Booster Bundle Display, ten bundles and 60 packs, at CA$2,302.50 on Quaza Track on July 25, 2026 — and its Umbreon ex 161/131 is the most valuable tracked single of the whole Scarlet & Violet era at CA$2,126.20. There is no Prismatic Evolutions booster box

This is the most common factual error about the set, and four lines of evidence settle it. PokeGuardian's November 2024 reveal coverage states the packs "will not be sold in traditional Booster boxes." The Pokémon Company's January 17, 2025 press release lists the complete lineup and contains none, as does pokemon.com's ten-product gallery, and the full 399-entry TCGplayer catalogue holds no such SKU. Special sets in this era — 151, Paldean Fates, Shrouded Fable, this one, Black Bolt and White Flare — never got the 36-pack display a main-series set gets.

The large-format product is the Booster Bundle Display: ten Booster Bundles, six packs each, 60 packs, at CA$2,302.50 and 3.4× the next item in the set. Anything sold under the other name is loose language for it, or an aftermarket repack. The Booster Bundle itself arrived March 7, 2025, seven weeks after release, so nothing in the launch lineup held more than eleven packs.

Umbreon ex 161/131, the era's most valuable tracked single

Read off the printed card: Stage 1, evolves from Eevee, Darkness, Tera, 280 HP. Moon Mirage costs [D][C][C] for 160 damage and leaves the Active Confused. Onyx costs [L][P][P] and does no damage at all — "Discard all Energy from this Pokémon, and take a Prize card." The illustrator is YASHIRO Nanaco, worth stating precisely: the Double Rare Umbreon ex at 060/131 is a different card by takuyoa, and neither is 5ban Graphics, who did twelve of the fifteen Tera Pokémon ex.

Quaza Track prices it at CA$2,126.20 on July 25, 2026: 2.7× the next card in its own set and 1.4× the era's next-dearest single, Paldean Fates Mew ex 232/091. Raw TCGplayer market was US$1,506.09 the same day, off a three-month window of 70 sales between US$1,099.01 and US$1,799.99.

The graded market is where the value concentrates, and here there are individually dated rows rather than aggregates. Four PSA 10 copies sold on eBay between July 12 and 13, 2026 at US$6,875, US$6,900, US$6,950 and US$7,050, and a CGC 10 at US$7,300 on July 14, against same-week raw near-mint sales of US$1,134 to US$1,750 — a PSA 10 multiple of roughly 4.7×. The first PSA 10 sale on record was US$5,000, January 2025.

Two independently sourced population snapshots agree closely, though neither was read from PSA directly. A third-party report of PSA's own mid-February 2026 population put the card at 14,276 graded with 4,418 PSA 10s, a 30.9% gem rate; a separate aggregator's July 25, 2026 snapshot puts it at 20,322 graded with 6,055 PSA 10s, 29.8%. Growth across all eight Eeveelution Special Illustration Rares runs +35% to +42%, Leafeon highest and Vaporeon lowest on gem rate in both. One correction worth making: on GemRate's March 2026 recap this is a top-ten card by monthly submission flow, but it is not one of the most-graded of all time, where tenth place sits above 65,000.

Fourteen chase cards, with illustrators

The 49 secret rares are 12 full-art Ultra Rare Supporters (132–143), 32 Special Illustration Rares (144–175) and five gold etched Hyper Rares (176–180). Note what is missing: not a single Illustration Rare, against 23 in Surging Sparks. The whole secret-rare budget goes on Special Illustration Rares, the largest run in the era, and no Eeveelution got a gold printing.

The eight Eeveelution Special Illustration Rares are not numbered contiguously: they sit scattered through the 144–169 block alongside Ogerpon, Ceruledge, Roaring Moon and the rest. Yukihiro Tada drew all four Ogerpon ones and Tomowaka four of the six Supporter ones, while Kamome Shirahama, who drew Glaceon ex 150/131, is better known for the manga Witch Hat Atelier. All nine Eevee-line members also appear twice in the main set, once as a base card and once as a Tera Pokémon ex.

What the Master Ball pattern actually covers

Prismatic Evolutions brought two parallel holofoil patterns to the English game: a Poké Ball etched into the background, and a rarer Master Ball. They are not new to the hobby — the Japanese, Korean and Traditional Chinese printings of 151 carried ball-pattern Mirror Holofoils — but the English 151 did not, so this is an introduction to English, not a return to it.

The eligibility rule is more specific than most coverage: Pokémon of Common, Uncommon and Rare rarity exist in all three variants, Trainers of Common and Uncommon rarity in the regular and Poké Ball variants only. Applied to this set — cards 001 to 092 are Pokémon (32 Common, 14 Uncommon, 21 Rare, 25 Double Rare), 093 to 131 Trainers (13 Common, 20 Uncommon, six ACE SPEC) — that is 100 cards eligible for the Poké Ball and 67 for the Master Ball. Double Rares and ACE SPECs get no reverse holo at all.

So the widely repeated claim that Master Balls are Eeveelution-only, an 18-card pool, is wrong, and community pull-rate arithmetic says so independently: the tracker that reports any Master Ball at roughly 1 in 20 packs also puts any specific one at 1 in 1,362, implying about 68 distinct cards. A different sample reports 1 in 3 for the pattern, so treat the rate itself with care — but the ratio between the two figures is the argument, and it does not fit an 18-card pool. The Eeveelutions are where demand went — Umbreon 059/131 in Master Ball has around 4,260 PSA submissions, double any other card in the pattern.

The eight Mini Tins are the cleanest demand signal here: identical contents, identical US$9.99 MSRP, one per Eeveelution, tracked separately. The spread is 1.32×, with Umbreon and Sylveon on top in both the tins and the chase cards; below those two the orders diverge — Leafeon is third among the cards but fifth among the tins, and Jolteon is the cheapest card but the sixth-dearest tin.

Eighteen months of reprints, and the Elite Trainer Box never came back to sticker

Launch was severely constrained. Target imposed a three-item daily limit on January 14, 2025 with an internal reseller-refusal policy; TPCi confirmed a reprint two days before release, reportedly its first ever; Pokémon Center Singapore cancelled its in-person launch and sold out online in about two minutes. The Elite Trainer Box was TCGplayer's top sealed product by gross merchandise value in January and February 2025.

What happened next is the quotable part. The reprints kept coming — a third public TPCi statement on March 27, 2025, a first confirmed shelf-level restock on May 10, 2025, broad waves in November 2025 and January 2026 — and the Elite Trainer Box still never returned to its US$49.99 sticker on the secondary market. The documented arc: US$120.42 as a January 2025 monthly average, US$117.01 in February 2025, US$210 in March 2026, US$167 in April, US$205–210 on July 1 and US$164.83 on July 25, 2026, roughly 3.3× MSRP after eighteen months of restocking.

It is also still being restocked into 2026, with no announced end of print: Best Buy sold Elite Trainer Boxes at US$49.99 retail through a lottery on April 23, 2026 against a US$167 market, and Amazon restocked below market on July 1, 2026. The Pokémon Company publishes no end-of-print notices, so nothing stronger can be said.

The tracker reads it as settled regardless. The set index sits at 111.42, up 11.4% over three months and mid-pack among the sixteen Scarlet & Violet sets, while the seven-day tape across all 25 tracked products averages −0.9% against an era-wide −0.90%. A set with a different supply story is priced almost exactly like its neighbours. That index is sealed-only, and sealed is where the spread is widest: CA$43.93 for the Flareon Mini Tin against CA$2,302.50 for the Booster Bundle Display, 52× inside one set.
