Pokémon TCG Japan - Nihil Zero: Every Card, Chase Prices & Mega Zygarde ex

Nihil Zero is the third expansion of Japan's MEGA series, released January 23, 2026 at 180 yen for a five-card pack. It contains 117 cards, 80 in the main set plus 37 secrets, and it is built around Mega Zygarde ex, a Basic Pokémon with 310 HP that holds the record for the highest HP on a tournament-legal Basic. Two months later the same card pool became the English set Perfect Order. Below is the full rarity ladder, the chase cards with current yen prices, and what the market has done in the six months since launch.

Nihil Zero, Munikisu Zero, or Nullifying Zero?

Three names circulate for this set and its headline attack, and they are not interchangeable. The Japanese set is 拡張パック「ムニキスゼロ」. English databases including Bulbapedia, Limitless TCG, PokeGuardian and TCGplayer settled on Nihil Zero as the set name, and Bulbapedia records the romanization as Munikisu Zero. The attack printed on the English Mega Zygarde ex card is neither: it localized as Nullifying Zero.

Mega Zygarde ex and the 310 HP record

Mega Zygarde ex sits at 046/080 as a Double Rare, a Fighting-type Basic with 310 HP, illustrated by takuyoa. Being a Basic at that HP is the whole point: it needs no evolution line and no setup turn, and Bulbapedia records it as the highest-HP tournament-legal Basic printed to date. The Mega Evolution ex rule is the counterweight, and it is the defining trade of the entire block: when a Mega Evolution ex is knocked out, the opponent takes three Prize cards instead of two.

It carries two attacks. Gaia Wave costs three Fighting Energy for 200 damage and reduces damage taken on the opponent's next turn by 30. Nullifying Zero costs five Fighting Energy and has no fixed damage number: you flip a coin for each of the opponent's Pokémon, and every heads deals 150 damage to that Pokémon, with Weakness and Resistance ignored on the Bench. Five Energy is a real cost, and the official set page points at Barbaracle's Stone Arms ability as the intended way to pay it.

Core Memory at 072/080 is the card that turns the deck from a coin-flip into a threat. It is a Pokémon Tool that grants Mega Zygarde ex a third attack, Geo Buster, for four Fighting Energy: 350 damage, discarding all Energy from the Pokémon afterward. Three hundred and fifty damage removes essentially anything in the format in one hit.

Lumiose City, the quiet format card

The set's other structural card is ミアレシティ, Lumiose City, at 077/080, illustrated by MARINA Chikazawa and making its Pokémon TCG debut here. Once during each player's turn, that player may search their deck for a Basic Pokémon and put it onto their Bench. Using the effect ends that player's turn.

The important detail is that the Stadium does not exclude Pokémon with a Rule Box. Any Basic is fair game, which is precisely how a 310 HP Basic Mega Zygarde ex reaches the board without an evolution line. The turn-ending clause is the price, and because a Stadium works for both players, the opponent gets the same search.

What the market has done since January

Six months of data show a set that split in two directions rather than moving as a block. The two columns below are different measures, not one series sampled twice: February 27 is 相場, the marketplace rate recorded by price-base.com, and July 24 is 販売価格, the retail asking price at yuyu-tei. Read the moves as direction of travel rather than like-for-like. Buy prices, 買取, are a third measure — what a shop pays you — and are labelled as such wherever they appear below.

The pattern is that competitive relevance held value and pure art demand did not. Meowth ex is a Supporter-search engine that decks actually run, and it is the only card in the top three that rose. Rosa's Encouragement is a character card with no play requirement, and it lost more than a quarter of its asking price. Mega Zygarde ex at 117 rose on ask while its buy price fell from ¥28,000 to ¥25,000, which widens the spread rather than confirming the higher number: it is out of stock at yuyu-tei, and an out-of-stock listing can carry any price.

Sealed boxes tell a cleaner story. Against a 5,400 yen list price, boxes traded near 10,000 yen on launch scarcity in late January, corrected into the 7,000 to 7,500 yen band by late February, and firmed through the summer to roughly 8,500 yen market with shops buying at 9,000 yen in late July. A buy price above earlier market quotes points at genuine sealed demand rather than a soft market, which runs against the Japanese commentary that read Nihil Zero as a low-hype set.

How Nihil Zero became Perfect Order

Japanese sets feed the English release schedule on a lag, and Nihil Zero fed Mega Evolution Perfect Order, released March 27, 2026 at 124 cards, 88 in the main set plus 36 secrets. That is a larger main set than the Japanese 80, so Perfect Order is not a one-to-one reprint of m3 — it draws on more than this set alone. Mega Zygarde ex appears in English as Perfect Order 47, 104, 120 and 124, the last of these the set's gold Mega Hyper Rare.
