Mega Charizard X returns
In the XY era Mega Charizard X was M Charizard-EX, Flashfire 69/106 in English: a 230 HP card by 5ban Graphics. Our Mega Charizard X ex guide lists every version and its price.
The card was revealed at the closing ceremony of the Pokémon World Championships 2025 in Anaheim, California, and announced in Japan on August 18, 2025. It sits at 013/080 as a Double Rare by takuyoa: Stage 2 Fire, 360 HP, retreat two, no Ability, one attack.
ワザ「インフェルノX」 costs two Fire Energy and reads 90×. The printed effect is 自分の場のポケモンについている炎エネルギーを好きなだけトラッシュし、その枚数×90ダメージ: discard as many Fire Energy as you like from your Pokémon in play, for 90 damage times the number discarded. The Energy can come off the attacker or the Bench, so the damage has no printed ceiling. Four Fire Energy is 360, enough to Knock Out another Mega Charizard X ex. The cost is the Mega Evolution ex rule: when it is Knocked Out, the opponent takes three Prize cards.
The two cards that feed the attack
An attack that eats Energy needs a supply, and the set ships both halves. オドリドリex at 018/080 is a 190 HP Basic whose Ability エキサイトターボ attaches a Basic Fire Energy from hand to a Benched Fire Pokémon any number of times per turn, so long as a Fire-type メガシンカex is in play. インフェルノX discards from the whole board, so Bench Energy counts.
ヒカリ, the Dawn Supporter at 106/080 and 115/080, does the other job: search your deck for one Basic, one Stage 1 and one Stage 2 Pokémon. That is Charmander, Charmeleon and Mega Charizard X ex from one card.
The chase cards
Twelve chase cards, all six Special Art Rares among them, with illustrator and today's market price on Quaza Track. Filter by rarity, tap to zoom.
The 36 secrets run 081 to 116: 12 Art Rares (081 to 092), 17 Super Rares (093 to 109), 6 Special Art Rares (110 to 115) and one MUR at 116. Four Double Rares are メガシンカex (Heracross 004, Charizard X 013, Sharpedo 051, Lopunny 072), covering every evolution stage: a Basic at 280 HP, two Stage 1s at 330, a Stage 2 at 360. Neither the MUR tier nor the three-Prize Mega rule is new here; both debuted with メガブレイブ and メガシンフォニア on August 1, 2025, one MUR per set.
Inferno X prices today
Mega Charizard X ex leads the set: the MUR 116/080 is €593, the Special Art Rare 110/080 by danciao €634 and the Super Rare 094/080 €20. オドリドリex 111/080 is €23 and the ヒカリ Special Art Rare 115/080 €19.
A sealed Inferno X booster box is €93 and a single pack €3,26. Every card is on the Inferno X price page.
Products
The booster pack is the set's own product. The two スターターセットMEGA decks released three weeks earlier, on September 5, 2025, the first preconstructed メガシンカex decks. Each ships a 60-card deck, damage counter sheet, coin, playmat, guide and rulebook, forms its own 21-card set under the marks MBG and MBD, and holds two of its メガシンカex plus an ACE SPEC.

How Inferno X became Phantasmal Flames
Inferno X fed Phantasmal Flames, released November 14, 2025 with 130 cards, 94 main plus 36 secrets. The mapping is not one to one: Phantasmal Flames merges three Japanese products, Inferno X plus both スターターセットMEGA decks. That is why Mega Gengar ex and Mega Diancie ex appear in English yet are absent from Japanese Inferno X.
Inferno X has six Special Art Rares; Phantasmal Flames has five Special Illustration Rares. Oricorio ex has none in the English set: its English secret print is the Ultra Rare 110/094.
