The chase cards, and the illustrator design behind them
The official card list numbers the 42 secrets in four blocks: 16 Illustration Rares at 166 to 181, 16 Ultra Rares at 182 to 197, 7 Special Illustration Rares at 198 to 204 and 3 Hyper Rares at 205 to 207. Some illustrations give a whole Evolution chain to a single artist. Ivysaur 167/165 is by Yoriyuki Ikegami, and Wartortle 171/165 by Mitsuhiro Arita.
Graded copies: Charizard ex 199/165 in PSA 9, Giovanni's Charisma 204/165 in PSA 10 and Wartortle 171/165 in PSA 9.

The three Hyper Rares are Mew ex 205, Switch 206 and Basic Psychic Energy 207, so Charizard ex has no Hyper Rare here. Because the set runs in Pokédex order, Mew ex, the 151st Pokémon, lands on card 151/165.
Rotation and Standard play
Standard legality follows the regulation mark printed on each card, whatever set it came from. Cards with the G mark left the Standard format on March 26, 2026 on Pokémon TCG Live and on April 10, 2026 at in-person events. Expanded still covers the Black & White Series onward. For newer chase cards, see the Mega Charizard X ex guide and the 30th Celebration card list.
