Rare Quilava #156 promotional card from the 1999 Japanese Neo Premium File set — released December 10, 1999 as part of a special promo file to promote the Neo Genesis expansion.
The Neo Premium File was a limited Japanese promotional product containing nine unnumbered promo cards, each featuring Pokémon from the Johto region with artwork tied to the Neo series. Released in waves from 1999 to 2000, these files promoted the Neo Genesis, Discovery, and Revelations sets and remain highly collectible due to their exclusivity outside booster packs.
This Quilava, a Fire-type Stage 1 Pokémon, was one of the key promos in the first Neo Premium File and marks an early TCG appearance for the Volcano Pokémon in its Japanese form.
