Pokémon TCG Shrouded Fable: Every Card, Product and Live Price

Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—Shrouded Fable released on 2 August 2024 with 99 cards: 64 main set plus 35 secret rares numbered 065/064 to 099/064. It is one of six special expansions in this era never sold in a 36-pack booster box. Its two most valuable tracked singles are not the Pecharunt ex it was built around — Persian 078/064 is CA$109.69 and a gold etched Basic Darkness Energy CA$93.21 on Quaza Track at 25 July 2026. Why an Illustration Rare and a basic Energy card lead this set

Most Scarlet & Violet sets are topped by a Special Illustration Rare. This one is not — and neither is Stellar Crown six weeks later. Shrouded Fable is topped by an Illustration Rare of a Gen I Kanto cat and by a Basic Energy card, both ahead of Fezandipiti ex 092/064 at CA$59.68. Persian is a 110 HP Stage 1 with no competitive role.

Two structural reasons. The Special Illustration Rares are low-demand Pokémon: Okidogi, Munkidori, Fezandipiti and Pecharunt, a Legendary trio and a Mythical under a year old, plus one Supporter. No Charizard and no Pikachu appear anywhere in the set, and the two Eeveelutions that do — Eevee 050/064 and Sylveon 022/064 — are a Common and an Uncommon with no rare printing of either, so no Eeveelution reaches the chase tiers at all. The Illustration Rares are long-established species with deep collector attachment, drawn by established artists — Persian by Whisker, Houndoom by Taiga Kasai, Horsea by Shinya Komatsu, the Duskull line by James Turner.

The face card sits last. kantaro drew all four Pokémon Special Illustration Rares, 090 to 093, and the best of them clears less than five Illustration Rares do. Two tracker entries carry no collector number: Basic Darkness Energy is 098/064 and Munkidori is 072/064, the Illustration Rare rather than the ex. Golbat 028/064 by Teeziro is a Common worth naming, one panel of a documented nine-card mosaic spanning five sets; the Turner trio at 068–070 is not one.

How 99 cards fit a set numbered to /064

The secret range runs past the denominator, so 078/064 is not a misprint. The main set is 001/064 to 064/064: 28 Commons, 20 Uncommons, 7 Rares, 6 Double Rares, 3 ACE SPEC Rares. The 35 secrets are 15 Illustration Rares (065–079), 10 Ultra Rares (080–089), 5 Special Illustration Rares (090–094) and 5 gold Hyper Rares (095–099).

Those five golds are one Pokémon, two Trainers and two Basic Energy cards, which is why the set's second-dearest card is not a Pokémon. At 35 against 64 the secret range is 55% the size of the main set, roughly double an ordinary main-series proportion; Stellar Crown runs 23%. Not a record — Black Bolt closed the era at 86 against 86 — but it is why a 99-card set has a chase pool this deep.

What Shrouded Fable introduced

The Kitakami and Loyal Three follow-up adds no card type. It adds a foil treatment and a first. Bulbapedia documents a new holofoil pattern called parallel foil, told apart in hand by a white expansion-code box with black text where an ordinary card has black with white.

Neutralization Zone 060/064 is recorded by Bulbapedia as the first ACE SPEC Stadium ever printed, and its text is narrower than the name suggests: “Prevent all damage done to Pokémon that don't have a Rule Box (both yours and your opponent's) by attacks from the opponent's Pokémon ex and Pokémon V.” Dangerous Laser 058/064 and Poké Vital A 062/064 complete the trio.

The Loyal Three, ordinary cards in Twilight Masquerade, become Pokémon ex here: Okidogi ex 036/064, Munkidori ex 037/064 and Fezandipiti ex 038/064, all by takuyoa. Fezandipiti ex mattered competitively: once during your turn, if any of your Pokémon were Knocked Out during your opponent's last turn, Flip the Script lets you draw 3 cards — and you can't use more than one Flip the Script Ability each turn. Revavroom ex 015/064 is the single Tera Pokémon ex, a Lightning type despite Revavroom being Steel and Poison. The lasting legacy is an Uncommon: Night Stretcher 061/064 returns a Pokémon or Basic Energy from the discard pile with no flip and no cost, and became a near-universal inclusion.

Every product, and the one that never existed

Shrouded Fable was never sold in a 36-pack booster box; its large-format products are the Booster Bundle Display, the Mini Tin Display and the two Elite Trainer Boxes. Three checks confirm the absence: Bulbapedia documents nine entries and no display, the PHD Games sheet lists six SKUs and no display, and PriceCharting's set page has no row for one where Stellar Crown's does. There is also no Build & Battle Box, so no prerelease promos.

*Not retrieved. The PHD Games SRP sheet carries no figure for the single pack, the Pokémon Center box, the UK bundle, the portfolios or the Booster Bundle Display. That last is the priciest sealed item Quaza tracks and the least documented — Bulbapedia does not list it separately, so no bundle count is given here.

Where the market settled

The Scarlet & Violet era closed on 26 September 2025 and this set has finished re-pricing. Its Quaza set index is 119.34, up 19.3% over three months, fourth of the era's sixteen sets. The index is sealed-only, so the reading is that sealed Shrouded Fable re-rated upward, not that every card did. Its seven-day move to 25 July 2026 is +0.4% against an era-wide −0.90%. A set at rest.

Scarcity here is product-specific, not set-specific. The Booster Bundle Display at CA$1,113.33 is 11.9 times the Booster Bundle at CA$93.23, with the Mini Tin Display (CA$268.39), the Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box (CA$236.45) and the standard Elite Trainer Box (CA$176.97) between them. In USD, two methods agree on that Elite Trainer Box: a PriceCharting US$118.44 against a US$118.50 median over 30 dated eBay sales, about 137% over its US$49.99 MSRP.

Graded sales in the same window put Persian 078/064 at a median US$344.00 in PSA 10 against US$69.69 raw, roughly 4.9 times; Houndoom 066/064 and Duskull 068/064 at about 6.2 times; Cresselia 071/064 at roughly 8 times; Fezandipiti ex 092/064 at 2.4. Illustration Rares carry materially higher grading premiums here than Special Illustration Rares. No PSA 10 sale was observed for either gold Energy, despite both trading actively raw.

Tournament status, and the one card that rotated

Shrouded Fable has not rotated. The 2026 rotation, announced 9 January 2026, took effect on Pokémon TCG Live on 26 March 2026 and in person on 10 April 2026; it dropped regulation mark G and left marks H, I, J and later legal. Six sets from this era went: Scarlet & Violet base, Paldea Evolved, Obsidian Flames, 151, Paradox Rift and Paldean Fates, which released in January 2024 but carries G marks. Checked against Limitless flags on 25 July 2026, 96 of this set's 99 cards are mark H and Standard legal, two are Basic Energy carrying no mark at all, which does not restrict them, and one is G and no longer legal: the gold Earthen Vessel 096/064.

The sets either side of it

The ninth English Scarlet & Violet release and the third special expansion, after 151 and Paldean Fates. It follows Twilight Masquerade, which introduced the Loyal Three as ordinary cards, and was replaced six weeks later by Stellar Crown, which has the 36-pack display this set never got.
