Pokémon TCG Japan - MEGA Dream ex: 250 Cards, the MA Error Print & Prices

ハイクラスパック「MEGAドリームex」 (M2a) is a Japanese High Class Pack, released November 28, 2025 at 550円 tax included for a ten-card pack. It holds 250 cards, 193 in the main set plus 57 secrets numbered 194 to 250, and it introduced a new rarity, the Mega Attack Rare. Its top card is the Special Art Rare Mega Gengar ex 240/193 by danciao, £196. Below: the rarity ladder, the Mega Attack Rare surface-finish notice, twelve chase cards, the products and how the set relates to Ascended Heroes.

A High Class Pack is not an expansion pack

A ハイクラスパック costs 550円 for ten cards. A standard 拡張パック, such as インフェルノX (m2) or ニンジャスピナー (m4), is 180円 for five.

The 193-card main set mixes new Mega Evolution Pokémon ex with reprints of strong cards from earlier sets and events, and the 57 secrets sit above it.

A box is 10 packs, 100 cards, at ¥5,500. Mirror cards come in energy-symbol and Poké Ball patterns.

The Mega Attack Rare surface-finish notice

メガアタックレア (MA) is new in this set: ten cards at 223 to 232, each a different Mega Evolution Pokémon ex. Ascended Heroes later brought the rarity to English as the Mega attack rare, with attack names printed in Japanese katakana.

On December 5, 2025 The Pokémon Company announced a 表面加工の誤り, an error in the surface finish, on all ten Mega Attack Rares. Only some production runs are affected, and correctly finished copies exist. The error does not affect play, and owners of an affected card can exchange it for a correctly finished one through the Pokémon Card support desk.

Today's market prices for the three most valuable Mega Attack Rares: Mega Charizard X ex 223/193 is £17, Mega Gengar ex 230/193 £13 and Mega Dragonite ex 232/193 £7.35.
