About Quaza Track
Quaza Track is a free Pokémon card price tracker built by Quaza Collect, a Canadian TCG store. It follows live market prices for 400+ sealed Pokémon products and chase singles, updated every day from TCGplayer market data. Prices are quoted in Canadian dollars and convert automatically to the currency you choose, with 160+ currencies supported through the store's country selector. How the Quaza Index is calculated
The Quaza Index measures what sealed Pokémon product is worth against what it originally cost. A level of 100 means the market is trading at MSRP. The index divides each product's market price by its launch MSRP, averages those ratios across the basket and multiplies by 100, so a reading of 400 means the basket is trading at about four times MSRP.
It is equal weight: every product counts once, so a $10 booster pack moves the index exactly as much as a $400 booster box. That keeps it a measure of how the market has moved rather than of what the most expensive item did. Only sealed product contributes. Singles and graded cards are tracked on Quaza Track but never enter the index.
Sets that have not been released yet are left out. A set still on preorder carries prices that imply premiums of several hundred percent against MSRP, and that describes a scalping market rather than what the set is worth. Products join the index once their set ships. Because the ratio is calculated from US dollar prices on both sides, the level reads the same whichever currency you view the site in.
The index is rebuilt every day, straight after the morning price refresh, from TCGplayer market data. Alongside the headline index, Quaza Track publishes one index per set and one for each of five product types: Elite Trainer Box, Booster Bundle, Booster Box, Ultra-Premium Collection and Collection Box.
